Am I Using DoorDash to Procrastinate?

I started doing DoorDash two weeks ago and it is turning out to be a pretty easy side hustle.

Note: If you are interested in signing up for DoorDash, sign up through the Rakuten app . You will recieve $50 cashback once you complete your first order. Rakuten is a cashback website that gives you cashback for shopping at your favorite retailers such as H&M, ASOS, etc.

My goal for DoorDash is to make $150 a week. This will total $600 a month. I am using this extra income to pay down my student loan balance . Once I payoff this loan, I can focus on other financial goals such as increasing my retirement contributions and investing.

The Role Your Thoughts Play in Reaching Your Financial Goals

My financial journey began in August of 2019 out of NEED.

I realized I could not afford to pay for both my car payment and student loans at the same time.

There was no way!

If I juggled both bills at the same time, I would have no money left at the end of the month after all my essential bills were paid. Luckily, I realized this while my student loans were in forbearance, but it would be ending soon. This meant I needed to pay my car off quick, fast, and in a hurry or I would be in for a struggle.
