Coffee shops are my latest obsession. Not only are they good to study at, go check out my Best Dallas Coffee Shops to Get Work Done post, but they are also a great place to hang with friends and network. The best thing about it is it won't break your bank.
I was inspired to write this post after attending my first blogger coffee meetup with Rhonda Jenkins from The Skinny Arm. The coffee meetup was at a new coffee shop in Lower Greenville called La La Land Kind Cafe, and it was adorable. It had a bright, airy vibe, and the decor was a vibrant yellow. If I could describe the place with a song, it would be "I am walking on sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves. Essentially, it was the best place to have chosen to meet new people because the vibe just made you happy and sparked conversation.
I know you guys are super excited to see what coffee shops I listed below so I won't hold you any longer.
1. Serve
Serve is located in the heart of Bishop Arts. When you see the blue house and porch, you immediately want to walk in. It exudes a homey and welcoming vibe. Also, you can not miss the photo opp with the angel wings and the "Do what you love" neon sign. It is the perfect place to catch up with your friends because it's such as an adorable, intimate place.
2. Magnolia Se Lous
The epitome of sophistication. I came across this coffee shop when driving around in the Harwood District and was immediately enamored. It is the go-to place to sit on the patio with your friends and sip tea with your pinky out. I don't even know what to say. The outside is so Instagrammable, so if you and your friends love taking pictures, this is the place.
3. La La Land Kind Cafe
This new coffee shop has taken Dallas by storm. Its a quaint house with a white picket fence located in Lower Greenville. It is such a positive and welcoming space to spend quality time with your friends. The yellow decor and positive quotes makes it even better. You can choose to sit on the front porch, inside, or on the patio. All the spaces are the bomb but I have never sat inside because this coffee shop is always bustling with people. And before you leave make sure to take a Instagram photo with the yellow truck.
4. Cafe Victoria
Cafe Victoria is a hidden gem located in Victory Park. It is a pretty, quaint spot. I love it because of its natural lighting and the outside patio to sit with friends.
5. Verbena Parlor + Social House
The name of the place speaks for itself. Coming here you are literally in the lap of luxury. You can meet up with your friends for coffee and treat yourself to a mani + pedi. What more can a girl ask for? In my opinion, nothing. When I came here, I got a mocha and my friend got a latte, but you don't have to play it safe. Say cheers to the mimosa, beer, and wine.
